The Process of Installing a Swimming Pool in Auckland

With over 325 pools now installed by Ultimate Pools, we have the expertise to install pools to the highest standard with efficiency.

While sites differ, the general installation process will look similar between pools.

Our usual timeline for installing the pool into the ground looks something like this…

Once your quote has been confirmed…

We’ll be in touch to confirm your pool order and colour choice, and then set an install date with you. If you need us to prepare your council consent, we’ll begin arranging this. Then, it’s time to wait for the pool to arrive (except for stock pools).

Pre-install site check

Prior works completed and signed off (site specific i.e. retaining)

Day 1 Site Preparation: Site Clearing and Access

Day 1 Excavation & groundworks

Day 1-2: Pool Placement

Involving usually a crane in / Hi-Ab / Digger lift, prep ground and base (a few hours to 1 day).

Day 3-4: Plumbing

We plumb from pool to pump shed + back-filling (in-ground pools) (1 – 3 days depending on the distance to the equipment shed and access).

Day 4: Equipment Shed

If the concrete slab has been laid, we will continue to plumb your pool equipment in its designated area. The pool equipment can be started up once your electrician has completed their scope of works!

Day 5: Pool wiring (1-2 days)

You may wish to arrange for your electrician to meet us at the beginning of the installation week. We can often assist with trenching for cables at stage 2 with excavation.

Following week: Coping Stone Fitting (1-3 days)
